Home Away From Home
When a service member or veteran is receiving medical care, having family nearby can make all the difference. But traveling and finding a place to stay can add financial stress during an already difficult time.
That’s where Fisher House Foundation steps in.
For more than 35 years, Fisher House has provided a “home away from home” for military and veteran families while their loved ones receive medical care at major military and VA medical centers. These homes provide comfortable, welcoming accommodations at no cost, allowing families to stay close and focus on what matters most—being together.
Through our Supporting Soldiers campaign, KSKJ Life members and communities can come together to help support these families when they need it most.

Each Fisher House offers a welcoming environment where families can cook meals, share time together and find comfort while remaining close to their loved ones receiving medical care.

Fisher House Foundation has several other major programs:
HERO PROGRAMS-Allows donated frequent flyer miles and hotel points, combined with dollars, to bring family members to the bedside of injured or ill service members.
FISHER SERVICE AWARDS-Recognizes innovative programs for military and veteran communities.
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS-Provides scholarships to children and spouses of military families.
